HEREWARD HOUSING / SANCTUARY HOUSING GROUP

ELD has worked with various design teams acting for Hereward Housing, part of the Sanctuary Group in Cambridgeshire, who provide sheltered housing and extra care facilities of older people, such as the frail and those suffering from dementia. The secially designed grounds provide an attractive environment in which residents can maintain an independant yet secure lifestyle.

Together we have completed three surveys and detailed landscape designs for hard and soft elements, for all sites, to successfully gain planning approval for numerous developments at Sawston, March, Exning, Isleham, Soham, Stretham and Swaffham Bulbeck.

Exning Court, Cotton End Road, Newmarket - Extra care facility

ELD completed the design for all hard and soft lanscape elements for this extra care scheme, with specific requirements for wheelchair access and residents with dementia, to include circular paths, potting on and vegetable growing areas, private patios, water features, an internal courtyard and marker point style planting that stimulates the senses.
