A NEWMARKET HORSE RACING COMPANY
Godolphin; Existing Racing Stables, Newmarket: Landscape design and restoration of existing landscape & stable yard for an anonymous client in Newmarket.
Godolphin; New Racing Stables, Newmarket: Detailed landscape design associated with a new stable yard, equine swimming pool and accommodation block for 300 horses and 300 grooms, for an anonymous client in Newmarket.
A NEWMARKET STUD MANAGEMENT COMPANY
Darley (DSML); New Stud Developments: Detailed design of landscape schemes for 2no major new stud developments to gain planning approval for change of use from agriculture, to stud land in Newmarket, Suffolk.
Darley (DSML); New Headquarters Building for a Newmarket Stud: Detailed Landscape and Visual Assessment, carried forward to detailed design and on site contract administration for major new Headquarters building, Service Yard and change of use of buildings. This was a £16 million large scale, high specification, major development within the Newmarket area. For reasons of client anonymity and confidentiality pictures of the site are not posted online. THE BURY SOCIETY
- Former Cattle Market: Acting for The Bury Society in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, ELD successfully raised the profile of the former cattle market leading to the new arc shopping and retail district. ELD persuaded the Council that 40 trees could be incorporated as part of town’s green infrastructure improvements, instead of LPA proposals for only 14 trees. 40 trees have now been planted.
HINCHINGBROOKE HOSPITAL
- The ‘Dreamdrops’ Sensory Garden: The Garden at the Children's Unit, did not fail to impress the Rt. Hon Sir John Major and Dame Norma, who recently unveiled the memorial plaque at the grand opening in 2009, with ELD in attandance. We were commissioned by the St Neots St Mary’s Rotary Club to create a quiet, healing garden, that stimulates the senses, designed around wheelchair users and children with special needs.
ADDENBROOKE’S HOSPITAL
Working with RHP Architects in Cambridge, ELD secured planning approval for an extension to the Oncology Clinic at the Cambridge Hospital.

- Suffolk Business Park, Bury St Edmunds: a large scale, high profile commercial business park development.requiring detailed design to gain planning approval.

- Saxon Business Park, Littleport, Cambridgeshire: Strategic design to gain planning approval for this large business park.
CASSEL HOTELS
- Felix Hotel, Cambridgeshire: Design and planning for this high profile, 4* hotel on the outskirts of Cambridge City centre.
ST EDMUNDSBURY BOROUGH COUNCIL
- Public Service Village, Bury St Edmunds: Detailed hard and soft landscape design for this new combined site for St Edmundsbury Borough and Suffolk County Council, to include tender and contract administration to completion.
KINGS LYNN & WEST NORFOLK DISTRICT COUNCIL
- Nar Ouse Regeneration Area: ELD was commissioned to produce a detailed design, hard and soft landscape, for a new public park located next to the River Nar, to create leisure space between new residential, commercial and university areas, as part of a major brownfield site restoration project.
EAST CAMBRIDGESHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
- Ashley Conservation Area: ELD have been commissioned by the Council to design, project manage, liaise with the Parish Council and oversee works relating to the restoration of the pond and adjacent landscape within this beautiful Suffolk village, near Newmarket.

- BP Garage, Ely, Cambridgeshire: ELD’s first BP site at Ely has won the
prestigious ‘Best Forecourt’ retail award for the past 2 years. Recent planning approval has been gained for their second site at Littleport.

- Garden Isle Frozen Foods, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire: Tree survey, landscape proposals & planning liaison for a large extension and new factory building linking with an existing potato processing plant.

DGL SERVICES LTD
- Health and Safety Site, Soham, Cambridgeshire: Extensive landscape & Visual Impact Assessment for proposed Health and Safety Development site on the outskirts of Soham village, to gain planning approval for development of new facilities.
ST CEDD’S, CHELMSFORD
Working with the architects, ELD have undertaken detailed landscape design, arboricultural and ecological surveys, as part of the planning application for the redeveopment of school buildings and outdoor facilities for this leading independent co-educational prep school, located in Chemsford, Essex.
SEWELL PARK COLLEGE, NORWICH
Working with the NPS Group, ELD have undertaken detailed landscape design, arboricultural and ecological surveys as part of the planning application for the redevelopment of the recreation facilities at the College, to include demolition of existing buildings, construction of a new high specification pavilion, extensions to and reinstatement of extensive playing field facilities.
GOSBECKS PRIMARY SCHOOL, ESSEX
Landscape design and arboricultural assessment undertaken as part of the planning application for Essex County Council, for the redevelopment of the school.
ALBANWISE LTD
Provision of detailed proposals to gain planning approval within 7 days for large grain stores and silos, located within rural Norfolk at Barton Bendish and Saxlingham. ELD also provided details to secure Natural England grant funding, to assist with an historic, Victorian walled garden restoration project, at Little Dunham, Norfolk.

Provision of detailed proposals to gain planning approval within 24 hours, for 2no large grain silos, located within a rural village setting, near Bungay in Suffolk.
STOWLANGTOFT ESTATE
Provision of alternative detailed hard and soft landscape designs for an historic stable courtyard on this Suffolk Estate, surrounded by former cart lodges and buildings that have been converted into residential and restaurant usage.
