Japanese Knotweed Control

Eradicating the menace of Knotweed in a single season…

ELD specialises in Japanese knotweed control. Working with our specialist contractors, we can eradicate this menacing plant within one growing season, using a patented methodology, approved by the Environment Agency, with warranties supporting eradication.

This aggressive and invasive weed has the ability to regenerate from just 10mm of root. ELD has worked extensively with the plant, identifying the anticipated area of Knotweed rhizome growth below ground in relation to active growth visible above ground. We have produced many statements identifying the methodology for eradication through herbicide treatments, excavation and removal, excavation and sieving, or a combination of methods, depending on site conditions and development programme. Our specialists are able to monitor works on site and if removal is the preferred option, we can oversee every part of the excavation process.

ELD provides the following in relation to Japanese Knotweed:

  • Site survey and identification of the likely extent of ground contaminated with Knotweed.
  • Method Statement to specify options for eradication or removal.
  • Advice on most appropriate method of treatment in line with site conditions, development proposals and programme.

We undertake work throughout East Anglia including the counties of Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire. Work further afield may also be considered. Japanese Knotweed Control - please contact us to discuss your requirements.
